The Arab Studies Program, while still in the works, will be taught at the facilities of the Yemen Language Center and Yemen Center for Arab Studies. Through first hand experiences in an Arab country, the education of students within various fields within Arab Studies (e.g., history and political science) will be greatly enhanced.

Students studying through YCAS will receive lecture-style education similar to many Western universities and colleges, as well as field trips and a lecture series provided by various individuals from the Arab World. Students will have access to lectures from many prominent individuals concerned with Arabic culture and history. Frequent field trips will be organized to assist in all student's education.

Some of the academic disciplines that will be addressed by the YCAS Arabic Studies Program will include political science, history, law, anthropology, archaeology, communications, literature studies and sociology.

Frequent field trips to various historical sites and cultural activities is also a part of the program. Trips to locations such as Marib, Aden and Hadhramout will assist in student's education by providing them with a firsthand look at Yemen and trips to other Arab countries are planned as they relate to students' studies in YCAS's Arabic Studies Program.

All YCAS students will have access to the libraries at the American Institute for Yemeni Studies (AIYS), the French Institute for Yemeni Studies and the Yemeni Books Palace Library (Dar Al-Kitoob).

YCAS is dedicated to the promotion of positive images of the Arab world through education and firsthand experience of the Arab world. It is our main goal to educate individuals from various backgrounds and expose them to the Arab World. Through promoting knowledge of the Arab World, YCAS believes that strong, positive relationships can be built between the Arab World and the non-Arab World.
