Ancient Arabia

Yemen is one of the oldest inhabited regions in the world.  Many Yemenis will tell you that their capital, Sana'a, was founded by Shem, son of Noah, after the flood.

Surprisingly, only within the last 50 years have Westerners begun to take an interest in Yemen.  Recently uncovered archaeological sites abound here, along with the rich cultural heritage, for the more adventurous visitor.
